DJ Bonas was born in 1980 and resides in the town of Waarschoot. His musical carreer starts very early. At the age of 10 he was involved a local radio station and at the age of 14 he joins a punk rock band playing the bass guitar.

Since 1996, after hearing the Twisted album by Hallucinogen, he's a convinced psytrance devotee. In the year 2000 he organized his first psytrance event which leads to his involvement in Mental Gymnastics, a party promoter and decorations crew.

As a dj he's very versatile. He can play a wide range of psychedelic trance styles from deep night full on to melodic morning trance and from minimal to electro progressive. The right music at the right time!

Starting from 2001 he took several courses like electronic music producer at SAE and studio engeneering. All this knowledge came in handy when he formed the Aquila project together with Thomas Van Hulle around 2005. With Aquila several releases and a placement at Dacru Records followed. Now also as a dj he found his home with this Belgian label.
